Let us first understand about the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test. It is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) every year in the month of December. There are 2 papers in UPTET. Paper-1 is for candidates willing to teach class 1st to 5th while Paper-2 is for candidates willing to teach class 6th to 8th.

Facts related to UPTET Mathematics section:

• Mathematics is a part of both the papers. While it is compulsory in Paper 1, it is optional in Paper 2.
• As per the paper pattern, Maths section in Paper 1 has 30 questions while Paper 2 has 60 questions.
• Each question carries 1 mark.
• As students are given 150 minutes for each paper, it is important to attempt each question wisely and fast as the candidate will get one minute for each question.
